UCSD Fall 2017 Transfer Thread

Don’t forget to fill out the housing contract guys! It opened up for me 9:30 this morning.

@ClaydeVassallo If im correct, you take classes your first year as if you were a psychology major. After 3 or 4 quarters, if youve completed enough of the required courses, you apply for a change. If they accept you, youre in. Unfortunately for transfers, we only get one chance.

Im a physics major changing to mechanical engineering. So ill be taking all the mechanical engineering courses and hoping i keep a high gpa so I can get accepted for the change. Good luck

Major: Chemical Engineering
College: Warren
GPA: 3.45 (like 3.33 when applied)
IGETC: completed in the summer (only 1 class left)
Applied: UCSB, UCSD, UCD, UCI, CPP, CSULB, SJSU
Accepted: SJSU, CSULB, UCSD, UCI, UCD
Denied: UCSB, CPP

is there any one still haven’t received the admitted packets yet?

@kamikorosu505 with that gpa and background, I would try somewhere better than UCR. Berkley would probably accept you.

I had the impression that one would need a higher GPA to get into chemE at UCSD?

@hesantos

@xsadcorex When were you finish the PHY 2C? In Spring 2017 OR In Fall 2016? Thank you.

@TheDankZou Are you CSE OR ECE?

looking to transfer to UCSD fall '18 as a public health major. Went to talk to admissions about requirements to be accepted into major since it is capped and all they said was to have a high gpa. Since you were admitted, what do you think the minimum gpa requirement would be? @nerdforbio
