@axoltyl Awesome! I was pretty sure they would not make a mistake…UCSD is pretty selective and they carefully examine each application. Obviously, you have what they want. Congratulations, again.
@axoltyl @UCtoUC2017 As global health majors are you doing study abroad? Have you checked into it yet?
I’m a CSE major and I want to study abroad in Japan, if possible. Also, are there any engineering students in this group planning to study abroad?
@uctouc2014 AWESOME! what college are you? I’m at Marshall
@axoltyl By “keep your grades up” what do you mean? What grades did they tell you that you need? Kind of in the same position.
@astrophilia a 3.0
@astrophilia I guess just do not fail but if youre feeling the same, I suggest you call to be sure, I think everyone is given different conditions
Hello guys, I’m in this situation. I got accepted to UCSD, but when filling my application, I made a mistake that instead of putting an A which is my actual grade for my ESOL32 class, I put a B into my application. Is that going to affect my admission negatively?
@AndrewTruong Highly sure that won’t affect your admission, because it’s a higher grade than the one you listed. You should call them to tell them of the mistake but it won’t affect your admission.
Anyone have any experiences with the substance-free housing?
@AndrewTruong you should contact the admission
People say that the vibe on campus is gloomy and dead, I found it to be nice and warm.
I was waitlisted with a 2.7 GPA but on an upward trend. Admitted may 2 and I’m happy. Polisci major (Marshall) Just visited the campus, it was really nice. I really liked how the weather was in the high 60s instead of 80 like in the inland empire. It says housing won’t open till mid-June, but I looked at the I-house application and it was open. So I submitted an application today from my phone hoping for a single room. I thought it was cool how they require you write 4 essays in describing how you are. Hope I get housing at I house, I hear that’s the place to be or did I hear wrong??
@transferbilly98 isnt that for international students?
Eligibility requirements say pretty much everyone can apply for rooms at I house except freshman, it doesn’t say that you have to be an international student. And also I’ve read other threads on here where non international student talked about how it’s easy to get a single room at i house. In any case you got nothing to lose by applying since it’s open before the June date for regular housing
Guyss I failed to meet one condition. I god D in one requirement but my overall gpa is still over 3.0 and 2.0 above in spring semester. Will my admission get canceled?
@jeuqkdsas Speak to admissions. See if there is any way to make up the class or retake it, but definitely speak to the admissions office first.
Hey guys, I ended up SIR’ing to UCSD. It was between this school and UC Berkeley, so touch choice! Best of luck to all of you! Those of you that are waitlisted, DO NOT give up hope! I was actually denied by UCSD and I appealed and got in!
When they say the deadline is June 1st, meaning the end of tomorrow, right? Most difficult decision, I wish I could attend for a semester and see if I like it or not, because it’s a commitment for the next 2 years
@itsromeosuckaa wow why did you choose SD instead of Berkeley, I thought Berkeley is better
I was accepted to my alternate major, does anyone know if I can still change it to Psychology?? And how
