Yeah I hope Cal gives it to us tmmrw and not hit us with that waitlist curve! And yeah I really felt I had a chance at UCSD this year as well, but I’m sure we can get off this waitlist together! Best of Luck tmmrw and keep in touch if u you get into CAL!

Hey do any of you know what the process is for switching home colleges? I got put into Marshall but Muir was my first choice!

*I’m a UCR dropout from 10-11, with a good chunk of Ds from that time, not sure how that factors in. The numbers were what my community college unofficial transcript showed.
When I first began the process, UCSD admission did tell me that my previous bad standing at UCR would hinder my chances. Still had high hopes as I had gotten straight As at CC. Finished every class articulated on assist.org, In progress for the second part of data structures offered at my school, finished required calculus based physics courses, math finished up to linear algebra and diffyQ. I’m going to appeal but tbh its not looking great

and then on the top it says:

Wait does anyone think this must be a screw up? This is a ton of rejections/waitlists … and all of you are so well-rounded too?
@roohafzahmami101 doubtful its just that competitive I guess. I might have higher GPA than others accepted to the same major but my background stuff may be lacking. I see lots of people with great ECs and possibly more compelling topics on the personal statements. I’ve been told race can also be a factor? I’m a pretty cookie cutter asian lol
