i keep seeing comments here and there about if grad schools look at CC gpa and courses. the answer is YES. they want to see your 4+ years of undergrad education. so just like if you went to ucsd as a freshmen they look at the whole picture - if you went to a CC they want to see that to. When it comes to your gpa - you have to calculate your gpa from both places. if one school was on the semester system and one is on the quarter system you have to pick one to calculate to the other - so either transition your quarter units into semester units and then find a final total, or vise versa.
sometimes, such as with ucsd, your gpa goes to 0.0 as a transfer student, but that is to make it easier for the school to see how you rank as a student on their campus, it does not reflect your overall gpa. hope that clarifies.

Every time I log onto CC I have 100+ notifications after an hour of not being on! False hope.
