Hey I also applied for structural engineering. There’s no rule stopping transfers from changing their major, but since they’re both capped majors, you’d have to get accepted to mechanical engineering and it’s not guaranteed that you’ll be able to change majors freely. That’s my understanding.
What other schools have you guys applied/ been accepted to? SD is my first choice but honestly at this point I’m starting to reconsider

I applied to CSUMB SJSU CSUN and UC Irvine. I got into all, but now I’m waiting on UCSD
I’m in the Bay Area and even if I still wanted to go to UCSD (it was my top in November) the closer it gets the less I’d be likely to go…a 4/20 release would’ve been plenty of time!
Next years applicants if you’re reading this DONT SPECULATE!!! Patterns of past years mean NOTHING!!!
