UCSD or UCI LETS GO!

ok i got into revelle for the winter quarter and i was thinking of double majoring in aerospace engineering and economics with minors in both management and accounting, um major wise is it better at ucsd or uci? how easier to get into grad school and getting a job/???holla back

bumperz ooooooooooooooooooo

Aerospace engineering by itself is a handful.

i thought they kinda overlap ?

engineering and economics do not overlap…

I would like to suggest to not double major and minor in economics, management, or accounting (however it works at ucsd or uci). Engineering itself IS a handful as justsomeboi mentioned. There will be some good competition in engineering at UCSD (and also at uci but not nearly as much). If you want to go into business stuff along with engineering, I recommend you pursue an MBA for grad school and stop engineering after undergrad.

Oh yea, go for UCSD =].

I got into both this year and I sent my SIR to Irvine… I’m not gonna try to influene you… go check out both campuses… I didn’t though because SD would not work for me anyway… you can tell from the vibe you get as to what school you should attend :-).

@amiradaprincess : just wondering, specifically, why did you choose UCI over UCSD ? what particular good/bad “vibes” did you feel from each college ?

@changbj88: UCSD does not have management or accounting, only UCI offers minors in those areas.

problem solved ;)

^ I live in OC so I would save a lot of money if I don’t dorm… I don’t know anyone at SD… I know 50 or so people at Irvine…

amiradaprincess, i think one of the most important things about college is letting go for four very short years and experiencing something new. Please don’t base your decisions on a worry… I guarantee you will meet people.

Too. late… i sent in my sir to irvine :-)… SD is a great school… but Irvine just works better for me… there’s isn’t anything I can think of a about SD that tempts me to change that.

ah, well then… never mind! Have fun and kick some ass ;)

I like how you pick Irvine over UCSD =]. UCSD has like this extremeley nice looking campus, but I just couldn’t feel it! UCSD is supposed to be more prestigious, but, I want MY college experience! I know too many people who go for the higher ranked school for prestige… It’s only undergrad. Anyway, have fun at UCI! I might see you there if my UCD appeal doesn’t go through (UCD is my special place =])!

what da hell are u guys talking about??? ucsd doesnt offer a minor in accounting and management, my cousin went to ucsd and minored in accounting ***ro?

sucks that your cousin lied to you :(

?..possible they took it away?

no, I really don’t think they ever had it. Unless he is talking about the extension courses that universities tend to offer. But these aren’t really associated with the undergraduate college. I think anyone can pay and take classes.

Are you sure he wasn’t referring to UCLA or UCI?
