UCSD Pros and Cons?

Best looking are in this order

USC
UCLA
UCSB
UCR
UCI
UCD
UCSD
UCB

@SMCguy: I can’t disagree with that list at all.

@smc best looking in term of what? campus or the people :)

i agree with USC. Money make everything beautiful ^^

haaa kim wasnt a USC student right?

thread hijacked

SMCGuy Nailed it. I concur. I walked around USC area trying to find Chick Fil A and seriously had to check my pants walking around. If you have never seen Persian girls, you are in for a shock let me tell you…

yes, at UCSB girls do wear bikini tops outside. You can walk to the beach maybe 5mins from the classrooms of the environmental science building.

Amazingly, I seen a lot of hot girls at UCR. It was during the summer, and the campus was pretty vibrant. I don’t know if it was visiting day or what, but there were probably about a 1,000 ppl around the food court area.

I lived in San Diego for a long time. Pros = great school, academics, facilities… Cons = the campus feels soooo dead. I would equate it to going to school with Robots. It’s weird, you can actually feel it.

Tried to go to UCLA once, and I was so fed up with traffic I didn’t even bother. By the time I found a place to park, I just said screw it, and found a BJ’s and got some beer. I instantly crossed it off my list (not like my gpa is high enough to get in any way).

That’s my take on SC, LA, R, SB, and SD. (girls wise lol). Still haven’t gone to Irvine yet and might do that when school starts again to check it out.

Out of them all, I think UCSB is the most under rated UC. It’s right on the water, and the academics are sound, and you don’t have to take part in the party scene if you don’t want to. I am an engineering student though.

i also heard at UCSB one in every three girls has an STD.

added

checking out the UCSB tag on TUMBLR yielded me some…nice eye candy tho.

@ kittchen, I was scrolling through that tumblr link and some girl posted this link…ucsb 7th in the world above Berkeley…rofll

[UC Santa Barbara Ranked Top 10 In The World - KCOY Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo - News](http://www.kcoy.com/story/16318523/ucsb-ranked-top-10-in-world)

“It makes me really proud because I’m a biology major so my degree is actually going to get me somewhere I feel now,” said Undergraduate Student Nicholas Fields. “I was a little bit worried about getting into grad school other places but coming from a number seven university, that feels really good.”

ha its probably the girls that gave it the boost, according to the other poster above UCB is last…

ry, why are you even awake? ha

Kitty you are right. You know campus ratings? It’s been circulated that SB has the highest STD rate in the country lol.

Oh yeah, and San Diego State…I’ve seen groups of girls in mini skirts on a tuesday buying alcohol at 3pm. Those girls P-A-R-T-Y.

hmmm,

why is that tho? HOW is that? students with students? or students with just random other individuals?

soo i live the exquisite life in la jolla and get the sdsu girls…things might still work out.

Last summer I took a poli stats class at UCSD and there was a girl in my class who was way too damn cute to be a student here. We’re talking a solid 8/10 (which, when viewed through Triton eye, is a 10/10.)

Sure enough, she was a UCSB student down here on break. Even SD’s local talent leaves this place for greener pastures :(

I’m beginning to feel like i made a mistake…UCSD, school for elites but not for the vanity perfected.

UCSD/UCI/UCD/UCLA

Not so much interested in UCLA, UCD is too close home, UCI is supposedly too boring, and UCSD is the jewel of SD but doesn’t possess the female jewels.

That statistic has been used for SDSU and I have trouble believing people can be so indecent. Then again, you know how they say… we migrated out of Africa b/c the rest of the animals kicked us out.

I just checked a few pages of those tags and the girls don’t seem all that. No offense to any of them, it just takes more than the party gene to attract me.

And yes, it seems like no UC fits perfectly. Kinda wishing I would of applied to some foreign schools.

salmos are you black?

No I’m just drunk. xD

Actually I’m Mexican. The Africa thing is just a stupid nerdy joke of mine.

oh no, it was a true statement. i was just curious because it’s not everyday that you hear statements like that made…

What, that animals kicked us out of Africa? Ha ha… all jokes aside, the only people that have problems with statements like that are those who begin at conclusions. :)

Well enjoy em while I’m still alive. I could get hit by a truck tomorrow.

Anyway, SD is a good city if you’re into the beach, restaurants, and a multi-cultural surrounding. Sounds great, but like everything else it gets boring. Honestly, if certain conditions were offered to me, I’d move out of here in a heartbeat (for my own reasons). So think hard about what you really care about, 2 years living somewhere is enough to ruin you if you hate the place.

Yes by all means, SD is a great city. And mission beach is a great place to chillax, interact and have fun…

The moral of this thread, visit campus’ to get a feel for the school. You would be surprised at how you will be able to tell if you like the ‘vibe’ or not.

I dislike SD for some reasons.

LOL you guys I totally missed out on this thread. :P
