UCSD Rap

Here’s a rap I wrote that pretty much sums up UCSD.

[YouTube - Chungsta - UCSD Rap](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9x_A8HjgzQ)

NOTE:
*Viewer disgression advised
*Not all Plaza Cafe food references may be real. - It’s not that bad.

wow that kinda sucked. lyrics were kinda funny though

haha thanks man.
I’m not really good at rappin.
amateur rapper

Dude that was pretty awesome. I’m never going to eat at Plaza cafe now.

lol Now I know never to eat at Plaza.

Are there really a lot of Cupertino kids down there? What about ESSJ (where I rep)?

Dude there are TONS of cupertino kids here man.
Around like 70 of my friends from Monta Vista High are here.
and around the same number for Lynbrook and all the other schools near Cupertino.

ESSJ? EastSide San Jose?
hmm sorry man I only know a few people.
Not that many =(

that was pretty good, needs more flow and rhymes need some work

hahah FREMONTTTT all the way! FUHSD <3! dude everyone from lynbrook is heading to ucsd

Haha thanks Arctic.
Yea, I’ll work on the rhymes and the flow more on my future rap projects.

Yayuhh!!
Lol TNE Fremont Union High School District FTW!!
Yea I know so many people from Lynbrook that are here, even though I went to Monta Vista.

Aww, I wish there were more East Side-ers. :P

I told two friends from Monta Vista that I’m going to UCSD and they were like “Is that the one with the cows?” …

Good job I like it :)

nice job ETChungsta!! ^-^
you rapped quite well and on the beat
you should make more raps!

haha, i’m not going to eat at plaza either now ;)

You Muir kids are pretty much going to have to go to Plaza considering Summit is closing this year for remodeling

T_T is it closing…for the WHOLE year? or just a quarter?

yEAHH, LELAND bioe represent!

Fremonttt! x]

Haha, I loved the rap. Very very clever. Although now I’m unsure about Plaza too… Man.
And if Summit is really closed this year… Crap. :[

so im trying to decide whether to go to UCSD or carnegie mellon…
probably gonna do bioe in biotech / chem e

so how do you really like it there?
[im into erc]

Despite my critical comments in my rap, I honestly really love it here in SD.

We got good weather here almost year round with only a few days of rain
It’s close to the beach, so if you get tired of studying, just walk to the beach and chill for a bit.
The professors here are absolutely dabomb!! and for bioengineering, UCSD has state of the art equipment to carry out labwork.
UCSD is ranked number 2 or 3 in the country for bioengineering (behind Johns Hopkins and maybe Duke) and isn’t a private university.

In addition, UCSD is located in La Jolla, which is a city with expensive real-estate, a rich community, and overall extremely safe with little crime.
(So if you want to go to school with the possibility of getting mugged or shot everyday, I would strongly suggest a school like Berkeley - my friends there tell me.)

The way I see it, the only real drawback (besides food issues and outrageous Bookstore prices) is that we don’t have a football team. We don’t have football as a sport that brings our school together, and that we students rally around.

UCSD is also rumored to be socially dead but that’s a lie cuz we have activities going on all the time.

I would definitely recommend UCSD over Carnegie Mellon for bioeng or chemical eng.

thanks that helps a lot–the main argument for carnegie was that im already from the beach so it wouldnt be too much of a difference and that carnegie is more presigious and if i wanted to go to grad school[possibly in east coast], ucsd isnt relaly known, only ucla and ucb cause of sports

oh and how easy is it to swtich out of the college you’re in?
im in ERC, but i dont know how down i am for the GE’s with making of modern world history and what not

It’s kind of difficult to transfer out of a college you are in, unless you can prove to your counselor that the GE requirements for your particular college will delay your graduation by 3 quarters or more or something.

I kinda forgot because I had the same question when I started to take the infamous Humanities GEs for Revelle last winter quarter and that was what they told me.

The GEs for ERC, from what I heard, is not as bad as Revelle College’s GEs.
Except you guys can’t take the GE classes off-campus at a community college during the summer.

But incoming freshman strating next year won’t be able to do that either for Revelle’s Humanities GE requirement lol so it’s basically no difference.
