Okay, so, as I’ve been waiting for the transcript validation requirement to get fulfilled, I’ve been looking around my application and cross-referencing with my transcripts to see everything’s alright.
One of the problems I had, applying as an international student, was that I never got to study U.S. History – which I know is part of the “a” requirement. So at the end of my application, in the additional info box, I wrote that : “As an international student, I have not had the opportunity to study U.S. History as part of my curriculum. However, I have taken courses in U.S. Economics and Business Studies in Grades 10 to 11 to compensate.”

…Which has only hit me now as wrong, as the economics and business studies courses I took in those years were actually UK. Honestly, I never knew there was a difference between them, at least at the level of grade 10 and 11. I think the reason I put “U.S.” was because I’d been reading all about how it needed to be “U.S” History and it messed me up. But seeing as my transcripts haven’t been validated yet, does this mean I could be rescinded?

I mentioned earlier in my application that I did the IGCSE for Economics and Business Studies…which is UK. Also, I know for a fact that Business Studies is a UK course…there IS no US Business Studies course offered in schools, as far as I know. As I read more into it, the “a” requirement for international students can be fulfilled quite loosely by the school’s own social science courses…additionally, people from my school have been admitted to UC’s before without a synch, so obviously my school’s courses have been verified and validated before…so they would have known that my economics course was from the UK before they accepted me.

Am I just freaking out too much? Is there a big difference between Economics studied in high school? Can it actually get me rescinded? I’m afraid if I call and alert them about it they’ll pay more attention to it and screw me over. If it helps, my grades were reported correctly without any mistakes, and I passed my senior year with flying colors, as well as my APs.

I guess I’m just looking for reassurance, or advice, or someone to firmly tell me I’m in trouble. I’d really appreciate any response, and sorry for the long post.
