<p>Im trying to decide between these two colleges. First-which is easier for beach access, especially surfing? Also, im planning on majoring in Philosophy and possible another humanity or POlitical Science. How are the Humanities @ UCSD v UCSB. I already know that Political Science is better at UCSD (at least comparative politics). Also is it easy to stay close to campus at UCSD after you move or is a long commute a reality? B/C IV is basically connected to the UCSB campus so a long commute is not necessary. And then, just overall experience? I dont want to be completely anti-social, but then again i do not want to get Wasted 24/7. Is there a good amount of fun at UCSD? Because what i keep on hearing is , UCSD is for academics, and UCSB is for social life.
