My brother is starting UF Law in the fall, and wants some advice on a laptop. What specific kinds do you guys reccomend? Even if you aren’t a law student, your input is appreciated.

Here is the recommend minimum. http://www.law.ufl.edu/services/laptop.shtml

I looked and here are some computers that I like. (not sure your price range, but there are cheaper ones)

I would emphasize on the extra battery for extended time w/o your adapter. That’s important.

Just wondering ASMAJ, do you happen to work for Circuit City?

I noticed because you gave me a couple of links to Circuit City products as well.

I’m not being rude, it’s just that my boyfriend works there, too.

No, actually the reason is because of pricing. I find that circuit city, amazon, and brandsmart (if you have one in your city) have some of the lowest prices around, at least with electronics.

I can personally vouch for the HP Pavillion dv9000t series. I paid about $2200 for mine without the accessories and it’s a marvel of a computer. Definitely buy it. CNET reviewed it as 10/10 and Calculus reviews it 10/10 too :)

LOL I just bought that Sony VAIO yesterday!! It’s an awesome deal, and a really cool comp!!

o i just got a HP pavilion dv6000 series from bestbuy cuz my desktop died wed. =(
