<p>I am a student at UF but my brother is a HS senior and applied to both UF and Texas A&M. He is having trouble deciding where to go (assuming he gets into both; he’s national merit so not too worried). Where should he go, in your opinion?</p>

<p>We live in FL and he is undecided on major but is pre-med.</p>
<p>As far as rankings go, they are very similar with UF being #17 and Texas A&M at #23 among publics and #54 vs #65 overall. Not very much difference. They are very similar schools, both in size and reputation. They also both pride themselves on offering a large number of majors. Does he care about being able to drive home instead of flying home? I don’t claim to understand med-school admissions, but I feel pretty confident that if he did equally well at either school, he could get into his med school of choice.</p>
