UF vs. FSU

What are the pros and cons of each college in general?
One thing I’m worried about is grade deflation/ artificial difficulty at UF due to their students generally being higher performance in high school. Is this a thing?

Grade deflation isn’t a thing at UF.

Some majors are more rigorous than others, but that’s the case at any large university.

UF has a larger number of students & a far bigger campus.

UF and FSU have about the same number of undergraduates (35K vs 33K), but UF does have far more graduate students (17K vs 8K).

Choice of major could play a significant role in picking between the two schools.

In Florida they are not considered peers. Rivals yes. Academic peers no. I think both are excellent.

I have so much respectful for both universities, my Gator son 2021 loves UF, now my younger 2023 son is going to pick FSU over UF, I will respect his decision and I am feeling great because both universities are doing well, both are on the rise.

@Gatordad2021 That’s going to make for an interesting Thanksgiving weekend…when UF plays FSU and both kids are home for the holiday (or off at the game).

@Gatordad2021 time to change that screen name. Gatornolesearly2020s? SECACCdad? Or change it every year - Seminoledad2023 if FSU wins, Gatordad2021 if UF wins? :))

Crocsandchops2021?
