UF vs NCF vs BU

I was accepted to 3 of the 4 colleges I applied to, UF, New College of FL, and BU. I'm a resident in FL, so I get some sweet financial aid if I go to UF or NCF, which has sort of brought my decision down to those two.

Anyone have any advice in choosing between the two?

well maybe not

If it's not too late, go with NC... depending upon what you want to study and how motivated you are to be an active creator of your education.

You have two good choices...which is better depends on a multitude of personal preferences. NCF is a quirky LAC with nontraditional programs and evaluations in place of grades. Students are often considered bright counter-culture types...and the school is quite small. UF is, obviously, much larger with vastly more fields of study. If you are a more traditional student and have a pre-professional bent, UF might suit you better. The calibre of students at both schools are actually similar. The schools themselves are quite different. It will come down to personal fit...you are are fortunate to have these two options open to you.

Yeah, NCF and UF are very different. If you like the small liberal arts kind of school go with NCF, if you want a big university go with UF. Personally I'd go with UF without hesitation.

I agree. You can not go wrong with any of them academically. However, NCF and UF are very different "atmosphere wise". The mere fact that you are considering NCF tells me that you are probably not the the typical UF Gator Nation student. If you want the number one party school in the nation, frats and widespread parking lots and buildings then UF is for you. If you want a more intimate atmosphere, on the ocean and with students who consider themselves more intellectual and artsy, then NCF is the one.

Personally, I'd go with NCF without hesitation.

My D was accepted to UF, NCF & UCF & many Private out of state liberal arts schools & universitys. Visit New College before you make a decision, We did & while a lovely campus it wasnt for my D.

There's a kid in our neighborhood here in FL. who could have gone to UF and decided on BU. I asked him how his first year was the other day and he loves it. Its a different experience from UF, though, with the campus in the city, not so "rah rah football" etc. Not for everyone but perfect for him, apparently. Says the academics are challenging.

Without a doubt University of Florida is the best overall university in Florida. The academic programs, peer assessment score, and endowment.

Also UF has a vast alumni base:
