For the sake of ACT/SAT improvement, I decided to do regular desicion and write my essays; hoping to gain some ground there. I’ve taken 2 AP classes, all honors(minus HOPE/Gym/electives) and 21 Dual enrollment classes whilst balancing a 3.5 GPA. Formidable writer; great recommendations. Lots of volunteering and tutoring and a few extra curriculars–but mainly work experience.
They supersize Act which is a miracle because I am a terrible test taker. 27 on the Writing thus far but the rest of my score needs drastic improvement but i will get there.
What are we gauging my chances as?
You should re-calculate your GPA using unweighted and UGA weighting. UGA adds 1 full letter grade for AP classes but not for dual-enrollment or honors , but you may get credit if there is an transfer equivalency. Your situation is pretty unusual, you are more like a transfer student from another college. How did you manage to take 21 college classes? If UGA accepted them all, you might already be a second term junior or senior when you enroll.
You might consider taking the SAT in addition to the ACT. Some people do much better on it.
A 3.5 college GPA is very respectable. You should probably call them and discuss your situation. GPA matters more than ACT/SAT , try to exceed the median (probably 30 or so next year). Use a tutor or prep program if you can.
