Uga ccrc

Hey guys, I applied for the Ph.D program in CCRC (Prof. Geert-Jan Boons). I like organic chemistry. However I am no young anymore, Five years, that’s a long time. so I would like to ask whether it is a wise decision to go there.
Anyone, anything, thank you~

I’ve heard VERY good things about the CCRC. Maybe biased opinions, but I’ve heard it’s a premiere research center. The building is REALLY nice. I’ve been in it once or twice. As an undergrad, I don’t have any expertise when it comes to graduate school, but I’m sure you can come visit and learn more and decide for yourself if you like it.

Thanks a lot! That’s really helping! As you said, I have also heard a lot good remarks about CCRC. People say that those professors are really nice and those students are really smart~~~
Sometimes I worried about whether I can find a job after graduation. I love organic chemistry, however people should be realistic~
Ph.Ds are saying that finding a job is not easy especially for people coming from other countries.
