So I’ve been admitted into UGA and the Honors college with a major in Exercise and Sports Sciences. I’ve also been admitted into UCLA with a major in physiology. Here’s the catch though:
UCLA is my dream school but I have to pay about $60k a year for it and my parents can’t help out that much (that price is with financial aid)
UGA isn’t necessarily my “dream school”, but because I’m in state and get Zell Miller, I won’t have to pay tuition. Plus I got into the Honors program.
After undergrad, I want to go to medical school to become a Sports Medical Physician.
What would you guys advise me to pick? Is it worth the investment to go to UCLA or should I stick to UGA?
You can’t afford UCLA so go to UGA.
This is an easy call; go to UGA.
UGA should be your dream school. UCLA would be your nightmare.
You as a student are limited to loans of $5.5K as a freshman maxing out at $7.5K as a junior and senior. Your parents would have to borrow the rest.
Med Schools costs are exhorbitant and you WILL be borrowing for that. Limit the undergrad costs.
UCLA alum here. UGA is the wise choice in this scenario.
