UGBA 10 and Haas Acceptances

I think I might get a B or B- in UGBA 10.

Is it still possible to get into Haas?

I doubt everyone who gets into Haas has an A in UGBA 10 so I think it’s very possible. But I would imagine you would need good grades in other prereqs and some good essays.

Certainly it’s possible, but it would be ideal if you got an A. In other words you should work really really hard because there is still a lot of time left to boost those grades. Remember grades are based on your class rank…

Look at the admissions statistics to gauge your chances.

As far as I know, the grading and exam system in BA 10 is designed intentionally to make the class seem competitive. It’s really stupid.

Why can’t they design their exams so that the standard deviation doesn’t come out to be <5%? Throw in some short answer, ask harder questions, etc.

I know quite a few people who got in with B or B+ in UGBA10… Granted they had really good grades in their other prereqs and were really involved in organizations.

Average GPA 3.63
Middle 80% GPA Range 3.40–3.89

Really, getting into Haas isn’t impossible, especially considering the average Berkeley student has a 3.0 GPA.

9/11 of my Haas intended friends got in. So if I know you, it’s a good chance you that will get in*

*I’m actually joking about the knowing you-me part. just in case people take this seriously or something weird.
