UD mercy
Wayne state university
and basically any other place in michigan, you can bet on that

umass-amherst looks like someone threw up concrete in the middle of western mass and then tried to mold it into buildings

I was surprised to see NC State on this list. We were there for a h.s. competition earlier this year, and I was pleasantly surprised—although the campus is really spread out, I was impressed with the amount of trees, gardens, etc. It wouldn’t be on any most beautiful campus lists, but there are certainly a lot UGLIER campuses across the U.S.

For me BU would be on this list or close … the campus is long and narrow and is essentially a bunch of buildings in a city … although BU is doing a great job upgrading their facilities.

MIT definately has a campus in a great town (Cambridge) … but the buidlings are eccletic and a lot are ugly … and the layout of the buidings does not tie the campus together (the buildings do not all face a quad … they face whatever city street is closest) … I’m not sure it is one of bottom 20 but it is worth consideration.

UMass-Boston has nice new buildings and the location on the waterfront is nice. That said the location is VERY isolated (there are NO hangouts to walk to from campus) and the set-up does look like an office park. Probably not bottom 20 but not great either.

Hunter College should not be on that list. It’s on the freaking Upper East Side.

so stony brook is better than binghamton in terms of campus??

i am trying to decide between the two before the august deadline

MIT looks TERRIBLE in my opinion, glad its on the list

I think Stanford is over-rated. Some parts are nice, but I think the dried up lake is an eye sore, and many dorms are several steps below graceful.

Middle Tennessee State is pretty ancient and blah.

Cal State LA

My campus is about to get a little uglier–I drove by it the other day and the paper recycling bin (which is basically a dumpster for paper that goes to the recycling guys) is gone. The dumber folks among the student body will assume it’s now OK to pollute and will have stuff thrown all over campus (I go to school with a lot of air-heads who probably would do such a thing).

Haha, our SUNY colleges in NY aren’t exactly good looking…I visited Binghamton and actually didn’t think it was too bad, though compared to any private school it would look disgusting. I’m surprised that SUNY New Paltz wasn’t in there! They have GRAFFITI on some of the buildings! No joke!
