UH Honors or UC Riverside

Hello all,

I was admitted to the University of Houston’s Honors College and UC Riverside.
I don’t plan to stay at either any longer than two years. Which will be more advantageous
for transfer to schools such as UChicago? (I’m on UChicago’s waitlist but obviously my chances
are quite low). If I go to Riverside, I’ll also try to transfer to UCLA and Cal. If I go to UH, I’ll
try for Rice.

Where are you from? I ask because of OOS tuition costs. California is expensive.

Never choose a school thinking you’ll transfer.
Are you instate for ucr or uh?

I’ve read that the number of transfer students at Rice is around 1% or 3%. Best case, the number of undergrad transfers is 120 out of 4,000 undergrads. Your achievements at UH will need to be stellar if you want to transfer to Rice.
