<p>well i just got in to berkeley for appeal but only for the spring semester. I already sent my SIR to GW and like the school a lot, but Cal was my number one. The thing is I dont want to miss out on having a normal freshman expirence. What should i do?</p>
<p>i would probably opt for GW, just because i don’t like the idea of starting off in the spring semester. it’s probably not a big deal, but i think it will be harder for you to settle in. also, i dont like the idea of losing my $800 deposit. 
who knows- you might love it at Gw as well. and there’s always an option of transferring to Cal if it’s important enough to you. it’s a tough decision, but i’m sure you’ll be fine either way. good luck!</p>
<p>I would go to a CC and then go to UC in the spring. Why travel all the way to DC, pay over $20,000 for one semester, and then leave to go back to California? It’s a waste of time and money to go to GW.</p>

<p>Yeah, I agree–go with your first choice. For this fall, enroll in a CC, get an internship or job, etc. If your top choice is Cal, at the end of your 4 years it probably won’t make a difference whether or not you started in the fall or spring of your frosh year.</p>
