UHR Lottery for 2009-2010

When is the first lottery time/date?

Mine is Tuesday 2/17 at 11 am…

I’m pretty sure it’s Tuesday the 17th at 9am, so you got a pretty nice time!

Yep, Tuesday at 9 am is the first time. I heard Webb is gone after the first time slot and Troy is gone by noon. Is that true?

I have Tues at 10:45 am. I’m hoping for Webb or Troy.

Webb is pretty big, so I don’t imagine it would be gone that early. I mean it will fill fast, but there are nearly 300 spaces.

I have Tuesday 9:15, which is pretty amazing… I’m hoping for Webb, too

Webb had a lot of rooms at 9:30, but the bottom few floors seemed to have filled up quickly.

I’m so happy.

15TH FLOOR WEBB

My time was at 10:45 and I had the choice of any of the upper floors so I’m guessing they opened them up for my time.

Webb was full by 12 today, at least the quad rooms

Wow, penthouse! The view should be awesome. Just hope there aren’t many fire drills though, walking down 14 flights of stairs will suck.

War Chant, I’m on the 15th floor too! So excited for the view!

You guys are so lucky.

All the housing spaces are gone this evening wheee
going off campus into the shady west area probably next year!

mdcissp, what was your son’s selection time?

uyulove, did you go on the waitlist? did you have a very bad selection time?

I don’t know what my son’s selection time was, but I know he applied on time and did not get his first choice in the lottery. I thought USC guaranteed on campus housing the first two years as long as you apply on time. I don’t quite understand how my son got an apartment described in USC housing on-line for “upperclassman” when he is going to be a sophomore. I thought he would be living on campus. It sounds like some kids on CC got their first choice, no problem and I am happy for them. I wonder how this lottery thing works. Is everyone happy with their choice?

The Sophomore Guarantee is only for USC housing, not on-campus housing. There is simply not enough on-campus housing to have a spot for both freshmen and sophomores. Housing refers to upperclassmen as Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors for some reason.

War Chant–thank you for explaining this better to me. Do you happen to know anything about the atmosphere/environment at Regal Trojan apartments? Do you think everyone is happy with their housing selection?

Housing is guaranteed for 2 years, not necessarily on campus. There just isn’t enough space on campus to house all of the Freshman and Sophomores. Heck there isn’t even enough to house all of the freshmen, hence Radisson and sometimes Century.

USC doesn’t have Sophomore only housing like other schools, it has Freshmen only, Upperclass (Soph through Senior) and Grad housing.

bmom - yeah bad time. I’m a senior next year so it makes sense. Got on the waiting last year, got into housing and worked out perfectly. Best housing situation in 3 years I’ve been here. Lets see what happens next year, haha.

Where do you live for the “best housing situation in 3 years”? Do you know anything about Regal Trojan apartments? Thanks so much.
