UIC GPPA Class of 2024

From what people have told me, they only send emails if you have made it into the interview round. No rejection email I guess.

Interview completed and it was phenomenal.

Very personal, questions, great interviewers and they really wanted to get to know me.

What did they say at the informational session?
Also, what was the format? Was it just one interviewer or a panel?

@corraya The information session was Dr. Chambers speaking about the philosophy of medicine, GPPA, as well as the “expectations” (how it was called) about the program: working hard, being happy/making time for oneself, being honest, and improving yourself through study. He discussed that there are many perfect applicants based on numbers (like tests), but they were really looking for people who would utilize the GPPA resource and displayed the qualities they were looking for, hence why many “imperfect” (on numbers) applicants were selected.

In addition, he talked about how there were roughly 700-800 applicants for GPPA Medicine, 105 offered an interview, and I think less than half being offered a spot.

The format was one interview setting, not a panel.

There wasn’t a Facebook group or a groupme for the GPPA and it was difficult to find some pretty reliable and current information on the program so hopefully, we can use this to meet with other gppa applicants and current students.
