For all you who have been accepted into the Honors College, on the apply.uic portal does the application status say “admit” or accepted?

UIC Honors College says “admit”. Anyone get merit scholarships and know the range available? D got $3,000 and is waiting on GPPA.

mine says admit as well. i still can’t decide between this program and uchicago,( if i do happen to get in)…it’s so hard!!!

My S got an email that he has been accepted into honors college but the portal says his application is still being looked into.

I’m so anxious to know if I got in! Lol how long after the interview did you guys get notified about the acceptance to the honors college?

Good luck to everyone this week with GPPA!

I attended the Honors college interview in December and I got my acceptance in January by email. Somehow my UIC portal account still says reviewing materials or something like that.

After completing her GPPA program at UIC, my niece was able to match into Northwestern Memorial Hospital in anesthesiology, whereas her friends who went to UChicago did not even get into a medical school. Using credits from her AP classes, she was able to complete the undergraduate portion of the program in three years and used the left over year to get a masters degree from Oxford, which helped her immensely with a placement into her choice of residency. Even though she was hesitant about attending UIC, now she feels great that it worked out for her and saving $$$ during the process. During her time at UIC, she was able to partake in many activities as a big fish in a small pond without any pressure as a pre-medical student. She has no regrets. Good Luck everyone… especially to the applicant who I met along with her parents and sister at RPI/AMC interview on March 24. If you read this post, please send me a message so that I could give you more information on RPI/AMC program.

@upstream , Really?! None of her friends who went to UChicago got into a medical school? Aghhh, if I get into UIC, I really have no idea what to choose…

If your SAT scores are above 75% of UChicago incoming class profile, you would be able to handle UChicago pre-med course. Of course, that is a ballpark figure.

Or for people that got the presidents award program honors (the PAPH scholarship): when did you get notified that you were nominated for it?

Does anyone know if GPPA decisions will come out as soon as it becomes 12:00 AM April first or if we may have to wait for later on in the day. I know I may sound a little too impatient, but we’ve all been waiting long enough and was just wondering if anyone knows for sure.

Yeah, I’m wondering as well! Hopefully it won’t be too late in the day.

Nothing up yet. Probably later today!

Anyone know if notifications really come out today?

haven’t seen anything updated so far…

UIC’s website stilll says April 1

the wait is killing me!

I’ve been going crazy for the past two days! I’ve been checking my e-mail and the portal incessantly. And NO updates!! WHYYYYY??

I thought that they would have the info up by midnight, but that apparently wasn’t the case!
Are they trying to make us go crazy?
I need to know now!

Also, on a slight tangent, does anyone know when we hear back about scholarships?

Thanks :)

D heard about scholarship last week
