I received offers from UIUC Gies college and GW business school. I want to select marketing as my major. UIUC seems to have a better ranking; however, GW’s location is very attractive. Please let me know your comments, pros and cons of these two schools. Thanks for your kind advises.
Is cost a concern? If so, what are your finances/aid looking like?
Luckily, cost is not a concern for me. I want to go to a school which can better prepare my career as a marketing professional.
UIUC is number one in the country for accounting. And well thought of in all disciplines.
GW offers a wonderful education, exciting location and a better east coast alumni network. Imho.
For finance, BS econ or accounting Gies. For marketing, social currency is the coin of the realm. GW.
Exactly how much of a price difference are you looking at between the two? Even if money isn’t the primary concern, if the difference is enough to cover a good amount of graduate school, I’d go with the less expensive undergrad.
I also received a $14K scholarship from GW. Therefore, the difference is not much. Will both schools have the quality marketing internship opportunities. Can I also get part-time working opportunity during school hours and full-time summer internship? Which school can better provide me these opportunities. Thanks!
