UIUC - Income for international student

Hi everyone,

I got accepted to UIUC as an international transfer student in computer science. However, bad news is that UIUC supports international student with no financial aid and rare scholarship. So I’m thinking about getting a job or doing internship. Could anyone who has experience in this field please help me?

Thanks so much,
Thien.

It’s prudent to check on the restrictions concerning employment for your F-1 student visa first.

I got the social security number during my 2-year college in the U.S. So I can work for maximum 20 hours a week I guess. But the question is how’s the chance in UIUC :-<

UIUC is a reputable state school and I am sure you can find part time work through their career office.
