<p>I wasnt admitted to the School of Business for UIUC and they said i can reapply after 2 semesters (1 Year). I also got into Renssalear Polytechnic Institute in their School of management and Technology. What would be a better choice for someone and which school is better academically?</p>

<p>You need to consider whether you should go with safety first. If you know that a business type major is what you want then RPI provides certainty that it will be your major. With UIUC, you have to be able to transfer into the business college, whether from the outside or from another college at UIUC, and that is not guaranteed. Also, to do so you will need at least a 3.3 GPA in your college courses and that is not easy to get.</p>
