I was accepted as a freshman in 2015 however I’m attending Cal Poly SLO for general engineering but now I’m reapplying as aerospace engineering at UIUC as a transfer for Spring 2016. I had a 4.0+ GPA in high school and a 32 ACT, and I know that’s what they’ll primarily look at since I am only 1 quarter into college but I’m worried about acceptance because I don’t think my grades and GPA this quarter are going to be very pretty. I’m not sure if I’ll meet the 3.0 that UIUC asks for College of Engineering. Since the notification date is mid-December or earlier will they UIUC even see my fall quarter grades? And if they do and I have below a 3.0 what are my chances of being accepted?
Did you check the Transfer Handbook or otherwise check for the rules of transfer at UIUC. It is my understanding that UIUC engineering does not take any transfers until entry into sophomore year and aerospace is not accepting any transfers except into junior year.
