My dad is having surgery the summer before my first semester of college was supposed to start, so I decided to stay behind and help him recover since he will need a few months. My plan was to take classes at Oakton Community College in Des Plaines, IL during the summer and fall while helping my dad and transfer into University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana as a Molecular/Cellular Biology major for the spring semester. However, I don’t know my chances of getting in and I don’t want to just rely on hope. I got a 3.7 weighted GPA in high school and a 27 on the ACT (should I retake it?). I plan to work my ass off at Oakton and get a 4.0. Would I be able to get in with these stats?
