<p>Hey everyone, I am applying to UIUC for Fall 2011. I am applying into LAS for Mathematics and Computer Science. STATS:
3.42 with 44 credits(D in Physics brought me down from a 3.71)
Completed all prereqs</p>
<p>EC’s:
*On Site Specialist for AKYSB(in charge of every event that goes on within our church, responsible for assembling a team to oversee the entire event, make sure everything goes according to plan, crowd control, logistics, and the making sure all the participants are safe).
*Assistant teacher for religious education center - 2008/2009/2010/2011
*Basketball clinic - registration director(2009-2011)
*Excite(summer reading program from children from kindergarten to 12th grade. The objective is to help the participants build critical thinking skills) Assistant from 2007-2008 and then became a facilitator from 2008 to 2011
*Flag football team(won regional division tournament since 2007 & came second in this years national tournament ((2010))
*Volleyball team - captain(placed for nationals but never went because it was the same weekend as football tournament)
*Volunteer for Ismaili Center- since 2001
*Youth Club- vice president (2009-2010)</p>
<p>Work Experience:
GM Diamonds(Sales & Network/Database Administrator) - 2010 - 25 hrs a week
*Troubleshoot the computers if there is an issue, as well as make all of the spreadsheets for revenue/profit, set up access points and configure the routers/ip security cameras, ensure that the server and ip cameras are always up and running, and anything else computer/network related. Last week an armored truck was robbed and someone bought merchandise with the marked money and so the FBI came by within minutes to see the footage from the ip cameras I installed around the store.
Cellairis(Sales)- 2009-2010 - 33 hours a week
Goldman VII(Sales)- 2007-2009 - 12 hrs a week</p>
<p>What are my chances of being accepted? I want to do Engineering CS so I will attempt an internal transfer if accepted. Does anyone know how difficult it is to transfer from LAS to ENG?</p>
