Is it worth to inherit 20-25k debt for Michigan undergraduate engineering degree (IOE) or better attend less-ranked school?

btw I love Michigan!

25k is nothing for an engineering major. i had about that much and paid it off easily in a year.

Not to hijack this thread, but what about $50,000 for a business degree (probably Finance)?

Not to double hijack this thread, but what about $75000 for an Asian studies degree?

25k for engineering degree = usually easy/small payoff period
50k for business degree = same as above
75k for an Asian Studies degree = probably the easiest pay off.

I heard Asian studies majors make about a million per year. So they could pay it off in like a day.

"I heard Asian studies majors make about a million per year. So they could pay it off in like a day. "

LIAR… $1MM/365 = $2739

I was only counting the days they work, which is like 40 days per year. And I heard they only work 3 hours per day on the days they do work.

hijacking this thread n kamikaze-ing

some combo of languages like an East Asian language and Spanish (not very many people know both and there are plenty of business to be done with Latin America) can land u some high paying jobs in international business.

Lol…

hijacked thread…

I retract this statement. I was just guessing with one example I knew.

^correction, I did read from a book that there was a lot of business to be done with Latin America and and an Asian country, and that accidents have occurred because of miscommunication, and that therefore learning Spanish is important.

You bumped a month and a half old thread to retract a statement you made, and then retract your retractment?

i don’t want to give false info, n i can’t correct my statement without bumping, regretfully

^I agree. The job might be difficult to locate but there are career opportunities where translators especially in trade between asian countries and latin american countries are needed
