UMass Amherst class of 2024 Early Action Results

@Momtofourkids maybe a good sign for you?.. our portal is working same as usual

I haven’t received a decision yet

I really hope they release tonight !!

@Momtofourkids It could be that they are releasing the decisions either tonight or very soon. When I did ED to Northeastern (I got rejected, sadly) there was a date “stamp” on the portal of when I submitted my ED Binding Agreement. The night before they released decisions, this date changed to the night (meaning that they were essentially “putting in” their decision for all ED applicants). I hope that helps & made sense!

I feel like decisions will come out tomorrow because they said “early this week”, but the first wave of decisions started at about 4pm so it could be too late.

Yes - I agree with all of you and think it may be tomorrow as well. Good luck to all

Looks like tomorrow. Although I did experience a weird connectivity issue right at 5pm

Still waiting on Nursing decision… hope to find out soon!

I’m also still waiting on Nursing Decision…super scared because I hear the nursing program is super competitive. Does anyone know what the average stats are for an accepted nursing student? Thanks Y’all

same here!

For a good idea of where you potentially stand, here is 2019 data with gpa, standardized testing, acceptance rates, etc for each individual college at UMass.

For my fellow nursing hopefuls… (From Liz Theroux of the UMASS Amherst college of nursing)

POINTS FOR THE NURSING PROGRAM

  1. High School students apply to the general Common Application of the university.
  2. University Admissions does all of our admitting; we do not see the applications.
  3. 64 is the target class size for the incoming freshmen 2019.
  4. 10% accepted out of a possible 2000+ applications:
    a. 3.5 GPA (average weighted/recalculated 4.2 is average weighted and recalculated)
    b. 1400 SATs (minimum)
    c. 31 ACTs (minimum)
    d. MA Higher Ed requirement coming in from high school
    i. 4 Maths
    ii. 3 Sciences
    e. This is a holistic application: all pieces are taken into consideration.
    f. Minimum to stay in program is C or 2.5 Cumulative GPA.
    g. Nursing is the one major we have where we do not accept transfer students, internally or
externally, and University Admissions also typically will not offer students admission to their
second choice major-unless they request us to do so and are aware that nursing is then off the
table. So if you would like to looked at for a second choice major, you must contact University

Hey what if I don’t get into my first choice and second choice major because I had applied to the same college in Umass Amherst. Can in any way I can ask for selection in Another college after my decision?

Wow 64 seats for the nursing school. Good luck, what an elite program.

The university is such a great experience.

Is the admissions office still open/ going to release decisions even with the snow today?
