Any biology acceptances?

is this the last batch for January?

We are patiently waiting here. Please don’t say that

More decisions to follow this week…

I’m not sure if her stats would help as she took a bit of a nontraditional approach. Her school is a public online school (NH’s Virtual Learning Academy Charter School) and does not weight grades or rank students. It’s self-paced, so she worked quickly through many of the classes. They also partner with the community college system to offer online dual enrollment courses, and they used to have a partnership with SNHU so she took a bunch of those courses as well. Here goes:

GPA: 3.95 unweighted
Class rank: unranked
SAT: test optional

ECs: voice lessons all 4 years and FIRST Robotics 1 year. Her only other activity is taekwondo, but she’s heavily involved in it. She’s a 2nd degree black belt, a multiple time American Taekwondo Association state title holder, a certified assistant instructor, actively involved in their leadership program, and she works at the school.

Courses: all of her classes were honors (with the exception of electives and foreign language, which only offered one level) or dual enrollment college classes. She started taking the dual enrollment classes at the end of freshman year, took a bunch of them sophomore year, and has taken them exclusively (5/semester) junior and senior year.

Does this mean that today is the last batch for Early Action? Or do you mean they are done releasing decisions today and will be releasing more soon

sorry, I should have been specific. More decisions will be released this week.

How do you know more decisions will be released this week?

Yes. Curious how you know that. I would have assumed next/last batch would be Tuesday 1/25. They tend to release batches every couple of weeks so they have time to respond to all the questions that come in.

stats?

Got in CompSci - Manning College with 14K per year (Chancellor’s Award)

88 GPA UW (Had a terrible freshman and sophomore year, brought it back junior and senior)

35 ACT, 1520 SAT

Strong ECs (Cofounded a nationally recognized nonprofit online, state semifinalist robotics team, All-County Violin)

7 APs (3 - Physics A, Chemistry; 4 - Biology, Computer Science A; 5 - Statistics, Calc AB, Computer Science Principles)

Congrats to those who got in!

The website says early action applicants will hear back by Jan 15, so they will probably release the rest of them within the next few days

Yes, my friend’s kid who studies and also works there told me more decisions will flow in the coming days. Again, this is unofficial. Hope they officially respond to queries made in insta and Twitter.

I am losing patience as well, can’t wait to hear the decision for my son.

Update: UMass Admissions officially responded on 01/12/22 1 PM EST in Instagram that more decisions will flow through out January.

I don’t understand why they couldn’t have just released the rest of EA decisions today. It’s frustrating!!!

Thanks. I can’t find that on the website. The only mention on the website about 1/15 is that being the regular decision application deadline. Only thing I can find out EA release is that it would continue “through January”. Would love to know they were coming sooner. Do you have a link?

It says here: The Admission Decision : UMass Amherst
the admissions come out late december/early january… I saw somewhere else that they come out by Jan 15 on the website earlier today but can’t seem to find it. I expect it to be the same as the Regular Decision deadline, by Saturday.
