That said, this is what the official stance was for EA, and it came out mid-afternoon (and many figured out earlier - like noon - by trying to access accepted student days). (https://yes.umass.edu/portal/admitted_student_events_2025)

Based on past years, I don’t think this trick will work until at least noon today. (though one can never know!)

agree, I called it a “trick” as it seems many can see that BEFORE the portal is updated.

My son got into Isenberg today. OOS.

In our circle, we have many amazing/top students not accepted into UMass-Amherst’s honors college (in-state)
RD Engineering admitted, 4.6 weighted GPA
Another RD engineering WL 4.4 weighted GPA.

S25 Economics! A little surprised as I thought it was a reach for him but we are in state.

Was anyone who had been WL during EA get in yesterday ?
Last year it seemed like a number of people did…

My OOS son was waitlisted then got into Isenberg yesterday with $16k scholarship. Surprising.

congrats!

I was hoping my kiddo would get in after being WL, but alas, not yesterday… Not a huge deal as it wasn’t a clear 1st choice, but would have been in the mix had they got it. Will now put out of mind altogether, I think. Not wanting to consider last-minute what-ifs!
