Umass - amherst > Ibanks?

Would a BBA degree from Umass - amherst hold any weight in the Ibanking world?

anyone? My brother is considering a transfer to this school and also thinking about breaking into the Ibanking seen after he graduates. Opinions about this school in relation with Ibanking would be greatly appreciated.

little weight…

Don’t say little weight at all…

BBA means, Isenberg School of Management. If you have a very high GPA, say 3.7+ … you will definitely get the jobs from the big 4 auditors, such as KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, accounting firms, et cetera.

Remember, that some people go to Umass Amherst because of tuition and finances (I go here actually since it’s a full ride… and I’m trying to either transfer to Cornell CALS or finish my double major/minor/certificate at UMA).

There’s a story about a famous alumni who got high grades in Isenberg, and matriculated to MIT Sloan. He was hired by Goldman-Sachs–fired (because he didn’t fit in with the culture or hours I guess)–and started his own million dollar business.

So there’s hope.

Isenberg is a pretty good MBA program, but not as prestigious, of course, as NYU Stern, UPENN’s Wharton, MIT Sloan, or even BC’s Carroll School of Management.

Hope it helps
