It April 1st, and my daughter has still not heard back from Umass Amherst (reg decision). She went to a private high school , her gpa was 3.2, her SATs were average. She has heard form all other schools and has gotten in (UVM, Quinnipiac, & Merrimack). She really wants to go to Umass and I really want her to go because of the costs.
I called the school and asked if there is any correlation between hearing later than others (she know 2 other kids from her school that have gotten in - 1 with a higher gpa and 1 with a lower but has won a number of artist awards), and the woman in the admissions office said it may be but does’nt always mean that - now I’m very concerned.
Are there others out there still waiting?
