<p>How reputable is the engineering program at Umass Amherst, specifically electrical engineering? Also I have heard that its physics program is pretty good, any opinions on this?</p>

<p>I know a bunch of guys who went to ZooMass solely for their engineering programs over other schools that I would’ve thought to be superior, so meh.</p>
<p>Basically 4/5 people I know are engineering majors there, so they must be doing something right.</p>
<p>The engineering college is really a small college within the larger university (about 1,600 students). My son is a sophomore mechanical engineering student and has had a really good experience so far. I can’t really speak to the EE program, but the college in general is the top-ranked public engineering program in New England by USNWR.</p>
