Maybe they are doing admission decisions in batches. I’m pretty sure most people haven’t gotten their letters yet
I read posts from last year and people whose portals didn’t change said that they received a letter saying their application was deferred to RD. That is what we are preparing for in my house.
From the looks of it, today is going to be the day many people get it. What’s confusing to me is some people’s portals updated and others haven’t. I wonder what trips it…
(father works for the post and said it takes ~ 3 days to reach the West Coast, the mail is transited on Sundays, making today day 4.)

My son got a letter in the mail today. When do we find out about the honors college?
My son is in! We’re in Montgomery County, Maryland, not far from UMBC, so the mail probably got here sooner.
Did it show up as a check mark in the portal before the mail arrived?

Just talked to the Ugrad Admissions Office: Portal will be updated anytime between now and mid-January. Their advice is to check the portal often, it updates sporadically.
I was admitted! I checked on Friday via the Portal. I believe I will be receiving my letter in the mail today or sometime this week.
I also applied to the Honors College. When do we get those decisions?
Honors College decisions won’t be mailed until January.
Has anyone received a letter in the mail in MoCo?
Oh they mailed a notification for a scholarship. I got 3,000 a year. Anybody else get that in the mail?

Yes, my son received his more than a week ago. We’re in MoCo.
@College21345 I got a 5,000/year scholarship, and my stats are 1390 SAT and 3.6/4.25 gpa
My daughter got Presidential Scholar Award, $12,000 per year. At the time of application her SAT was 1430 (got higher since then, in December test), GPA 4.1/4.0. Seems like this University like to communicate via regular mail, not e-mail or portal…
