<p>How strong is business in UMD?
The school of business seems nice, but how does it compare to stern and warton in terms of job opportunities?</p>
<p>Just laughed when you compared UMD to Wharton. Not even close. If you live in Maryland like I do (I also go to the Smith School) you will hear how UMD has a such a good business schoool. However, the reality is the school doesn`t have a strong network with companies, and therefore, has weak recruiting. </p>
<p>If you are aiming for a career on Wall Street, look elsewhere, but if you want to go Big 4, UMD will suffice.</p>

<p>How can you even mention UMD in the same sentence as Stern and Wharton?</p>
<p>No offense OP, but here’s a heads up:</p>
<p>Wharton/Stern are both Top 5 business schools, with Wharton being the clear cut #1 biz school in the world</p>
<p>UMD is around 30th or so, but it’s not elite</p>
<p>So in terms of job opportunities, Wharton/Stern destroy UMD by a mile</p>
