UMD has 5 tracks for CS:
CS, Cyber, ML, Data Science, Quantum Info
I got admitted into the Data Science, am I able to switch to another track later on if I get interested?

I do not think you get admitted into tracks. Tracks are usually a set of upper division courses.
Ohh I see thank you
Added a Link. They are 400 level courses. Multiple tracks are allowed I think, but it takes time and money!
Did you apply to CS? If yes, and you were directly admitted, your acceptance letter should list “CS” explicitly.
I agree with @sfogooner that the other items you’ve listed are not majors. If you weren’t directly admitted to CS, it’s very hard to switch in later.
Yes, my acceptance letter says Compute Science: Data Science, so I was confused if I was admitted to CS with the data science track or general CS.
That is weird. Majors have a code associated with them. My S25 has 07010 which is major code for CS.
Requesting help from @STEMX (thanks in advance).
When I applied in common app , there were 5 selections listed above for CS and I picked CS:data science, my code in acceptance letter is 0701B
People working admissions are very nice at UMD, you can always call them. Looks like it still a CS Major with data science specialization.
Yes, once in the CS major, a student can switch tracks/decide to be a general CS major.
