UMD ECON vs Frostburg ACC

Hi guys, I have completed my Associate degree with 3.95 GPA from local community college, and then applied to University of Maryland for Accounting but did not get accepted! But they accepted me for my second choice economics, and I also applied to Frostburg State University(FSU) and got accepted for accounting.
Now my families are pushing me to go UMD because of its reputation. I am also worrying if I graduate from FSU with accounting and then do not find a good job because it isn’t a known university. FSU is a small university in a rural area, but it is AACSB accredited. SO I need advice where should I go? Will accounting in FSU affect my job security for no reputation?

here are my pros and cons.

UMD
Major Economics
Pros: Reputation
Cons:Not sure if economics will be a good major to go for.

FSU
Major Accounting
Pros: Accounting, and AACSB accredited.
Cons: No reputation.

Give me your advice, help me out everybody. I need to make my decision within 3/4 days.

Hey I live in maryland as well. Just asking did you go to AACC? Well anyway, I would go with UMD because personally it is a quality school, top ranked, and in fact one top state university in the nation. Could you major in economics and then later on change majors? Could you minor in accounting or take accounting classes? I don’t think frostburg is that good of a school and with those grades you could definitely do better than that?

Unfortunately I can not change major if I go to UMD, their Business School is very tough and do not even allow to apply again if they do not accept you. Not sure about minor though. That’s a good question. Anybody?
