<p>Hi, I am part of the national circuit in debate (PFD) I have participated and placed in tournaments like the TOC, Harvard Invitational, Nats. I was wondering if there were any other high school debaters that attend UMICH, if so how did debating help you through the admissions process? Did you feel that it helped your application? Do you currently debate for UMICH?</p>
<p>This question doesn’t fully apply, because I’m not attending UMich yet, but I did Debate in High School, and recently got in EA. Of course, I have no idea how much Debate factored into my decision, but I emphasized it a lot of in my app (My Common App Essay was on it, and it was #1 for my Activities). I’ve done Debate Camps at Michigan too, so I’ve met some of the members of the team.</p>
