<p>HI. I am wondering if UMICH engineering is harder to get in to than UIUC engineering or are they equally difficult to get in. Thanks for your input!</p>

A large portion of their students are from Michigan, but the other students probably have higher statistics - and that is whom you are competing against. I read somewhere UIUC does not admit under different standards, per in-state status.</p>
