got admitted ~1PM today CoE CS

I am so confused there’s like 4 people admitted today that I know at the moment why is it so early this year?
In the past few years it’s always until late October. Are you Michigan resident and did you also applied in the past and got rejected but got an offer to update the term to this winter?
Congrats by the way I am just shocked how fast it is this year and hopefully this means there’s less applicants than previous year.
I feel like LSA people should wait until Oct. 9. Most of the LSA decisions I saw on Umich Winter Transfer 2024 are released from Oct 9th to 12th.
Bruh I probably have to wait until November since I am international from Canada so they have to reevaluate my gpa
Completed all of the engineering pre-reqs with a good GPA (4.0 as of now)
I think this was the most important, also that I am a michigan resident
My ec’s itself weren’t amazing. I had a job summer of senior year of high school, did some research, and did a hackathon.

do you know if i can get accepted to LSA but rejected for cs and choose a different major like data science
From what I heard from an admissions advisor, once you’re rejected for cs you are automatically rejected from lsa (only for transfer)
