I got an email at 5:25 pm and I submitted my app on September 25th with everything completed!
Thank you!! do you mind sharing your stats? I also applied LSA, and submitted my app on September 15 with everything completed but I could not get a decision yet⦠Iām very nervous
GPA: 3.92 w/ 51 credits
EC:
- pres of SWE
- events director for the college program board
- cultural and cs club, hackathons (just won the dearborn Hack yesterday)
- camp ta for cs
- hs stucco treasurer
- and other stuff
ES: talked about what I see myself doing on campus, personal statements is good too
Let me know if you have any questions:D
Are you in state or out of state and is it 51 credits even after youāre done w this semester
congratsļ¼
Iām from 4 years instate, and 51 after this semester!
Hey man do you know what time exactly did your withdraw button disappeared yesterday?
I donāt know exactly when it disappeared, I just checked my portal by 4:30, I guess you could start checking your portal by 4?
any updates?
Hey are you still waiting?
It is really weird this year. All the previous years are rolling base pretty much decisions on daily basis but this year. There is only one true decision day this year which is the 14th and its only for LSA. COE does not even give out a single offer yet besides the instate deferral applicants on the 3rd.
There is also a lot less people talking on this server this year for Umich winter transfer.
Here is a discord group I made for winter transfer applicants this year. This might be easier for communication purposes.
Man I got rejected for computer eng, and the letter was so short, they didnāt even say stuff like in some rejection email such as we are impressed by your work or would you like to update your term and stuff like that. When you got rejected last year in the rejection letter did they say they are impress or ask if you would like to update term? Or did you get the same letter as mine only saying "After an individualized and comprehensive review of your application for admission to the University of Michigan, we regret that we are not able to offer you a place in the College of Engineering Computer Engineering BSE for winter 2025.
We receive and review many more qualified applicants than we can place. Some of the factors we consider include the number of credit hours completed in transferable coursework, the level of achievement in coursework, course availability in the area of interest, the progress toward completion of general degree requirements, and personal characteristics.
The interest you have shown in the university is appreciated, and we extend to you our best wishes for success in the achievement of your educational goals."
sorry I know this is a little late but if you have 64 credits completed, how many are you currently taking even if they arenāt transferrable? Iām assuming you got in with over 70+ including incoming?
sorry my bad. I have 48 completed credits and 16 credits in progress in my current institution. My courses are mostly social science/humanities, so thereāre like 6 courses that are not transferable for UMich. Just a suggestion, you could try applying for data science instead of cs. You got great gpa and decent amount of credits, related ecs, I guess umich just donāt have enough spots for cs majors.
