UMichigan Ann Arbor EA Class of 2021 Applicants

@aao2021 I was also deferred for Nursing

Still waiting for mine…the suspense…

@Collegebound293 A letter of interest can otherwise be called a “letter of enthusiasm”. Let them know that you are still very interested in the school.

This is from ivy coach: In your letter of enthusiasm, you should express what you can add to the university to which you applied. Express what you love about the school and why you’d be a perfect fit for the college. Share what you’ve done since you applied if you’ve done something significant. Write a compelling letter, one that appeals to the human beings reading your letter. Don’t beg. Don’t say how they made a mistake (boy, would that be a mistake!). Don’t tell them they’ll regret it. That’s one way not to ever get in (and yet you’d be surprised how many students do this every year).

btw, is the decision going to be posted on the front of your Wolverine Access page when it comes in? Congrats to everyone that has been accepted.

I was deferred for engineering. I honestly thought I was going to get denied but I was surprised by their decision.

I don’t think UofM is interested in us sending letters of interest. They specifically said, “the most successful candidates send us only what we require.”

Where do you find “View Decisions” under Application Status? Because the only application status on my portal is next to my name

Deferred Student pls check this https://umich.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2080/kw/deferred

If anyone has been deferred I started a new thread concerning others like myself (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-michigan-ann-arbor/1948385-deferred-u-mich-ann-arbor-class-of-2021.html#latest)

Best of luck to everyone else!!!

I got in!!! Deferred from Yale early so it’s nice to have an acceptance

I never thought I had a chance with a 1280 SAT/27 ACT, but I got in!! I seriously spent this entire year feeling defeated because I thought I had no chance with so many qualified applicants, but I guess my hard work payed off! I hope future applicants won’t be discouraged by the competition and will apply regardless!! Now it’s time to decide whether I’m going to be a Spartan or a Wolverine!!

Accepted LSA! Instate 3.85 GPA, 29 ACT! I’m so excited it was my number one!

I got in!!! LSA, OOS from Illinois
34 ACT, 4.8 w gpa, good SATIIs and ECs, good recs

Hope to see y’all in AA!!!

Accepted today, out of state from Mass. Best of luck to everyone who hasn’t heard back.

I was thinking the same thing as @poj4y. They specifically said to only send what they requested, which were 7th semester grades. I will most likely be sending one anyway, but are they really telling us to not send one when they say that?

@catsrock17 Congrats!!

My younger Son got accepted OOS from Southern California into LSA. My older son is a Junior at Michigan he was initially deferred to LSA and then accepted on January 15th so hang in there if you got deferred it will come.

I GOT ACCEPTED!!!

I also think it rude of people who post their brag sheet when they get in. Nobody benefits from that…
