@ivywannabe That’s shocking to me. I don’t understand how unpredictable Michigan is with acceptances, as I’ve seen people accepted with ACT scores in the 20s and GPAs of 3.7.

Ivywannabee. Michigan was your first choice? Somehow I find that hard to believe.
FOR THOSE OF YOU DEFERRED LIKE ME: this doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. this doesn’t mean youre not going to college. this doesnt mean you weren’t good enough for umichigan.
This means there is still hope. This means they want to see how much you want to go to umich by trying harder this semester/trimester and getting better consistent grades. This means there is a school out there that is a better fit. Stay strong and know that you are one of many many students deferred. Instead of being upset over this, smile and know your future is still heading to success, but taking a few detours.

GPA: 3.7UW (This is an estimate because I’m an international applicant and an IB Diploma Candidate)
Solid EC’s and Great Essays (honestly why I think I got in my UMich essay showed so much interest)

For those asking… It’s highly likely that there were rejections sent out and 1) people from CC just didn’t receive them or more likely 2) that people didn’t want to post their rejection
