I have a question. Does UMKC BA/MD need the summer tuition fee every year and even at Year 3-6(med school)? I am a BA/MD parent. If someone knows about it, could you let me know? Thank you in advance.
Congratulations to your son/daughter!! Yes, the UMKC BA/MD program requires the student to be enrolled in every semester, including the summer semester after entering Year 1 in the fall. This is the case even if you finish required undergraduate coursework earlier. Students graduate in May of their Year 6.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
Yes they do. All years except the last.

Thank you for your answer, Roentgen and OmGV2020!
Actually, my son is in year 4(MS2).
Hmmmm. Then y where you asking? Just curious. People like Roentgen r busy, I would assume, and has been very helpful, so not sure y waste their time. Anyway wish all the best to ur son. I have 2,2nd and 4th year.

It’s no problem at all!! I don’t mind answering any questions (or pointing people in the right direction to get correct answers) that high school applicants/matriculants, current BA/MD students, and parents may have about the UMKC BA/MD program or the Bachelor/MD application process in general.
I think it’s great when applicants, current BA/MD students, and parents contribute to the thread. It helps everyone in a process that often is not transparent unless you’ve had prior experience.
At traditional 4 year MD schools usually they get one summer off (usually between MS-1 and MS-2) which might have led to some confusion in translating that to the 6 year BA/MD program.
Also, you may want to remove your name, email and phone number as I believe the moderators of the College Confidential forums overall see it as a violation of Terms of Service (and I don’t want to see you get unwittingly banned for not knowing!).
I don’t know much about having to pay summer tuition after finishing the first two years of undergraduate courses and paying it this time. He is a OOS student so I cannot meet my son often. So I asked this question here. Please don’t misunderstand, OmGV2020.
Thank you again, Roentgen! Have a good night!
