Ummm...Thank You? (Weirdest promotional giveaway. I'll start)

My sister passed along a car freshener. Made by Batesville, the casket people. In the shape of a casket.

Got to wonder what idea lost to that one in the marketing meeting.

So what’s the weirdest giveaway you’ve gotten?

Perfect for Halloween. LOL

I’m literally sitting her laughing outloud. OMG. If someone told me this, I wouldn’t believe them.

Maybe it’s a product just for folks who drive hearses.

Very useful if your car happens to smell like… you know… a dead body.

ok, I got a few promotional items from a company that provides catheters and similar products to people with spinal cord injuries (and therefore no bladder control). I really can’t do much with a small towel that has printed in big bold letters: “URINE GOOD HANDS”…

I got a football in the mail. No one I know plays football.

@NJres, that’s great!!!

Is it weird that I want both that air freshener AND that towel? Hahahahaha :smiley:

Wife got a cloth bag at a medical conference with, in big letters, Vagifem Estradiol Vaginal Tablets written on it. I accidentally brought it to a Tae Kwon Do class one time. It’s a great bag so she uses it all the time, but I’m a little too self-conscious about such things.

How about a promotional baseball hat that says Cialis on it? :slight_smile:

Magnetron, your story reminded me of a story from high school! My dad is a college professor who does research on polymer concrete (putting plastics in concrete to make it stronger and more durable). He gave me a T-shirt that read, “POLYMER IMPREGNATED CONCRETE” (that IS the technical term that is used). He got it from a plastics company. For my chemistry class, I did a report on the subject and wore that shirt to school all day! I still can’t believe I did that - I was very shy.

Back in the day when I was a cog handling employee benefits in a corporation, I got in the mail one flip flop from some insurance company. Yes, one flip flop. The deal was that you had to call them for a presentation to get the other one. Uh – no thanks.

Magnetron - what I’ve done with cloth bags (esp tote bags) is to basically put a fabric patch over the text. By doing this, I generally end up with a pretty snazzy looking tote.

I"m not a big fan of being a walking advertisement.
