when I tried to sign up classes on OLR, it says i am unable to register at this time as a result of a restriction placed by your department (CIT). Well, I didnt recieve my Calc score yet, but is it why that they limited my access?!

You have registration hold on, like every other freshman. Your advisor will remove it once she approves your schedule.

From the CIT Facebook group:

Here’s how it works. You send in the proposed schedule, and if Pam approves it, she sets up the system so that on registration day (July 18th I’m assuming in your case) you have access to OLR. OLR will open early (last year it was 6am eastern time), and then everyone who is approved for registration registers at the same time. So if there’s a large number of people who want, say, one particular section of Interpretation and Argument, it could turn into a bit of a race. This is another reason to choose a lot of backup classes/sections.

Turning in a proposed schedule does not guarantee you will receive a spot in the classes you want - Pam’s approval just means you have the right to register on that day.
